JAMMU, Dec 22: For the facilitation of Kashmiri migrants the Relief organization has decided to transfer monthly cash assistance of registered migrants under relief category directly from Head Office of the Organization to their respective bank accounts online.
The decision was taken to prevent inconvenience that is being experienced by the migrants presently in getting the relief from respective zones/camps and also to overcome delay in getting cash assistance.
Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, R K Pandita said that the matter has already been tied up with the J&K Bank Ltd. He said that all the migrants under relief category who have their bank accounts in other banks should open their accounts in J&K Bank by or before January 15.
Mr Pandita further said that migrant relief holders who intend to get cash in lieu of their monthly ration along with their monthly cash assistance should give their option in writing to concerned ZOs and Camp Commandants furnishing all details of head of the family etc. They should give the option by or before the January 15, he added.
