JAMMU: A mild intensity earthquake today hit the Bhaderwah town of Doda district.
“Around 1021 hrs this morning, a mild intensity earthquake jolted the Bhaderwah town,” DySP Sajjad Khan, SDPO Bhaderwah here said.
He said the intensity of the quake is yet to be known, adding, “the quake lasted just for couple of seconds.” So far no injury or damage was reported from anywhere in the town, said the cop.
Meanwhile, an eyewitness said that people rushed out of their houses in panic and took shelter at safe locations as preventive measure. (AGENCIES)
