Minal, Neha, Sonia, Tania emerge winners in sub junior girls category

JAMMU, Feb 2: Minal Sharma, Neha, Sonia and Tania Sharma emerged winners in the sub junior girls category on the second day of the ongoing 9th J&K State Wushu Championship organized by Wushu Association at Multipurpose hall, Indoor complex, MA Stadium here today.
In 14 kg under 5 years girls category, Divya and Sanah Showkat claimed first and second positions, whereas the third position was shared by Ojwaswani and Sampadha.
In 20 kg under 5 years girls category, the first and second positions were claimed by Parjanya and Jeeya, while Bhumi and Prayanka Dogra shared third position.
In 20 kg under 8 years girls category, Palak Sharma and Vandhana claimed first and second positions respectively, whereas the third position was shared by Ruksar and Pragati.
In sub junior 26 kg boys category, Arpit and Kunal claimed first and second positions respectively, while Urooj Nabi and Ajay Thakur shared third rank.
In sub junior 28 kg boys category, the first and second positions were claimed by Angreh Wangoo and Nitin Singh, while the third position was bagged by Abhishek Gandhi and Mannat.
In sub junior 32 kg boys category, Faizan Iqbal and Danish secured first and second positions respectively, while Kanveer and Badshah shared third position.
In 18 kg under 5 years boys category, Jaswinder Singh, Raghav, Prayanshu and Himanshu emerged winners.
On the second day of the ongoing competition, Owais Ahmad, IGP Technical was the chief guest, who distributed prizes among the winners.
While speaking, Owais Ahmad appealed to the Government to encourage Wushu sports and other sports as well, which are bringing the laurels to the State at national and international level.
