JAMMU, Dec 2: Mind Tree School showcased the vibrant cultural heritage of India during its Annual Day celebration themed “Light, Colours & Celebration – A Festival of Festivals.” The event, held with great enthusiasm, captivated the audience with a colorful display of music, dance, and drama.
The program commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting by Principal Harveen Kaur, followed by the chanting of a traditional Shloka and a soulful Ganesh Vandana. The audience embarked on a cultural journey through India’s festivals, portrayed with creativity and zeal by the students.
The event highlighted the essence of various festivals, beginning with a lively depiction of Lohri, the harvest festival of Punjab. A serene Kashmiri dance transported spectators to the valley of Kashmir, while a heartwarming Christmas play emphasized joy and unity. The energetic beats of Goan music, the vibrant hues of Holi, and the grandeur of Durga Puja celebrated India’s diverse traditions. The evening concluded with a spirited Garba performance, symbolizing unity during Navratri.
In her closing remarks, Principal Harveen Kaur lauded the students for their dedication and stressed the importance of preserving India’s cultural heritage. The event left the audience with cherished memories, celebrating unity in diversity.
