JaMMU, Nov 11: Mini Sports Day was organized at Kendriya Vidyalaya No-2 Jammu Cantt with pomp and show, here today.
Seventy two students drawn from 9 Kendriya Vidyalayas of Cluster participated in the event, which included lemon race, 100 meters race and three-legged race.
The inaugural function started with a colourful cultural programme presented by the children.
Vice Principal of the School, Bhushn Kumar, who was chief guest on the occasion declared the event open by releasing colourful balloons in the air.
In lemon race girls, the first place was bagged by Udhita of KV Miran Sahib, the 2nd place went to Anishka of KV-2 Jammu Cantt and the third place was bagged by Kjal Singh of KV Samba, while in lemon race boys, Abhinandan of KV-1 Gandhi Nagar, Farz of KV Nagrota and Tareun Sharma of KV Hirangar claimed 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
In girls three-legged race, Dilfra and Munzanz of KV Nagrota won first place, Unati and Komal of KV-1 Gandhi Nagar bagged 2nd spot, while the 3rd place went to Shruti and Sukhmni of KV Dmana.
In boys three-legged race, the first, second and third places went to Mumtaz and Satvik of KV Hiranagar, Manthan and Ashank of KV Damana and Tejas and Ahtsham of KV-1 Gandhi Nagar respectively.
In girls 100 meters race, the first position was bagged by Kanika of KV No-2 Jammu Cantt, while the second and third places went to Sneha of Damana and Simran of KV Hiranagar, while in boys 100 meters race, the first place was bagged by Mohd Usman of KV No-1 Gandhi Nagar, the second place was won by Ansh of KV Sunjuwan and the third place was claimed by Sujay of KV-2 Jammu Cantt.
The programme was coordinated by Sugandhi Ganjoo, while Nimmi Bhat presented vote of thanks.
