MENDHAR, May 6: A 6-year-old boy was drowned in a water tank at village Bandian in Kalaban area of Mendhar in district Poonch today.
A police spokesman said that boy had come to the house of his maternal Uncle (Mamu) with his mother Ruksana Kouser at Bandian from Khanetar village in Poonch. The boy went missing at around 12 noon today. After long search by the family members, the body of the boy was recovered from water tank constructed for the water storage in the house. The lid of the tank was said to be often closed, then how this boy fell into it could not be ascertained. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
