JAMMU, Jan 10: Domana police rescued a kidnapped minor girl from Orissa and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by the parents of the minor girl with police station Domana stating that their minor daughter has been kidnapped by Abhilash Singh, son of Babu Singh, a resident of Patoli Brahmana last month.
Acting over the complaint, a case under Section 363 RPC was registered at Domana police station and manhunt was launched to trace out the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
During the course of investigation, police team from Domana police station conducted series of raids and finally rescued the kidnapped minor girl from Orissa. The accused tried to escape, but police also nabbed him.
The girl was restored to family members after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team from Domana police station led by SI Shamim Ahmed rescued the kidnapped minor girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Rajinder Sharma, SDPO Domana Surinder Sharma, SP Rural Rajiv Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
