Minority Cell for Dr Abdullah’s intervention in settling migrants issues

JAMMU, Oct 5: National Conference (NC) Minority Cell in its meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of M K Yogi its working president has made an appeal to Party president and Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Dr Farooq Abdullah to impress upon the  State Government headed by Omar Abdullah to settle the problems of the migrants immediately.
The meeting sought the intervention of Mr Abdullah in getting the demands like PM’s job package implemented in letter and spirit.
It said there is lot of resentment among the displaced youth that even after seven six years the package has not been fully implemented as many displaced youth have left their private jobs in different parts of country to avail the PM’s employment package.
It demanded immediate redressal of pending demands of the migrant traders and stressed on rehabilitation of those traders who were dislocated after shifting the camps to Jagti.
It also demanded allotment of quarters to rented migrants, enhancement of relief to Rs 15,000, time bound promotions to migrant employees , release of HRA-CCA etc.
The meeting passed a resolution demanding separate Constituency for migrants in Kashmir Valley. The core Group also decided to meet the Chief Election Commissioner of India in this regard. B L Talashi, B K Bhat, Pinky Bhat, S N Dhar, M L Labroo and Ramesh Bharti were among others who were present in the meeting.
