Miranda Lambert wins big at ACM Awards

LOS ANGELES, Apr 20:  Singer Miranda Lambert became the star of 50th Academy of Country Music Awards by taking home four trophies include the female vocalist of the year and album of the year for “Platinum”.
Lambert, 31, also won in the category of song of the year for her track “Automatic”. She became the recipient of Milestone award, which was also handed to artists George Strait, Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn and Kenny Chesney .
Male vocalist of the year award went to Jason Aldean.
Cole Swindell won the new artist of the year award. Dierks Bentley won the video of the year award for “Drunk on a Plane”, reported CBS News.
Little Big Town was announced as the vocal group of the year: Florida Georgia Line, while award for the vocal duo of the year went to Florida Georgia Line.
Vocal event of the year trophy was awarded to Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan for “This is How We Roll”.
Luke Bryan, who co-hosted the award ceremony, took home the honour for the entertainer of the year. (PTI)
