RAMBAN, Aug 17: Some miscreant set a Government school on fire in Sarmote area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gool police station.
As per police sources, some miscreants set Government Middle School at Sarmote on fire during the intervening night of August 16 and 17.
As the fire started billowing out, people informed the police. The jawans of 76 Battalion of BSF’s and police team led by SHO Gool Inspector Sunil Kumar Arya reached the spot and put their efforts to douse the flames.
Four rooms of the school, kitchen, equipments and wooden material got gutted, when the fire was brought under control.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the incidents, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
A case under FIR number 69/15 has been registered at Gool police station and investigation started.
