The successful launch of nuclear-capable ballistic missile from an underwater platform with a range of over 2000 kms will certainly prove a significant step in strengthening India’s defence capabilities. There is urgent need for the country to modernize defense forces to meet the Chinese challenge.
The missile is the longest range in the underwater category to have been developed by India.
The missile is part of the family of underwater missiles being developed by DRDO for the Indian strategic forces underwater platforms.
The scientists involved in this prestigious project deserve all appreciation from the countrymen.
