JAMMU, Aug 25: Ace cricketer Mithun Manhas has been invited to coach Under-19 Cricket World Cup team of Bangladesh, sources here said.
Under-19 Cricket World Cup will be held in February, 2018 in New Zealand.
“Manhas has been told to act as batting coach for a period of nearly five months Under-19 Cricket team of Bangladesh in the upcoming World Cup scheduled for February next,” sources said.
Sources added that due to his commitment with the JKCA till 2018 ending, he desired to coach Bangladesh team only for 30 days and that too in phased manner.
Manhas in the recently concluded IPL season, also acted as Assistant coach of Kings XI.
Coaching Under-19 World Cup team will be first ever assignment of Manhas, which is a proud moment for the State.
