JAMMU, Sept 16: MLA Jammu East took stock of the maintenance of the Sports Council ground Parade, here today.
The MLA was accompanied by the officials of the Sports Council , besides Rakesh Khanna, Rajeev Bhardwaj, P.C.Gupta, Kanav, Raj Kumar, Sunny Sehgal, Shammy, Manav and Ramesh.
Mr Gupta instructed the officials of the Sports Council to replace the top surface of the ground with soft soil so that a nice surface is provided for the smooth sports activities in the ground.
Instructions were also given for providing four new grounds men for the mini stadium. In order to have adequate water facilities in the ground instructions were also given for having a bore well at the site.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Gupta said that our youth are second to none in terms of talent and energy but we need to provide them the right avenues for shaping their future.
He said that Jammu East is traditionally a congested locality with scarce sports grounds but we are in the process of developing all those areas that are available to us for providing play grounds to our youth.
