MLA Kathua distributes certificates, stipend under SJSRY

KATHUA, Aug 8: MLA Kathua, Rajeev Jasrotia, today distributed certificates and stipend among 25 beneficiaries under Centrally Sponsored Scheme STPE-UP of SJSRY in Basic Computer trade at Kathua.
The programme was organized by District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) Kathua, Jaffer Abass PO DUDA, Er. Mavi Kapoor, Manager (SM&ID), Bushan Singh, Manager (S&ME), Suraj Parkash Director of Regional Institute and Kusum Salaria, Director of . Salaria Institute, Kathua attended the function.
Speaking on this occasion Mr Jasrotia highlighted importance of skill development training programmes through which unemployed youths can generate self employment ventures. He said that “Urban Development Agency is full of Avenues” and focused on Awareness Camps to be organized at various locations in Kathua Town to aware the locals about the National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) scheme for Urban Poor.
Project Officer District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) Kathua Jaffer Abass Batt told that all training expenditure was borne by the agency. He highlighted three Social Security Schemes on the occasion.
Er. Mavi Kapoor, Manager (Social Mobilization and Infrastructure Development) DUDA Kathua gave a detailed information about the sub components of the Mission in local language (Dogri) there and requested the gathering to aware the localities in Kathua vicinity about this Centrally Sponsored Scheme NULM so that needy Urban Poor will be benefitted.
Bushan Singh , Manager (Skill & Micro Enterprises) DUDA Kathua briefed on another two components of the Mission viz Capacity Building & Training and Employment through Skills Training and Placement (EST&P).
Training programme was conducted by Regional Institute Kathua managed by Suraj Parkash Director of Institute.
Kusum Salaria, Director, Salaria Institute also spoke on the occasion.
