JAMMU, June 8: “Andaz-e-Sukhan” a book written by Mohd Maqeem Ansari, a faculty member of the PG Department of Urdu in Jammu University, was released today by Rajesh Gupta, MLA- Jammu East.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Gupta termed this book as great deal about the work of poets of Jammu region as it contain valuable information about the works of 10 or 23 poets in an elaborated manner about their poetry and style. He said that the other writer should also work on the traditions and culture of Jammu region so that generations to come know the rich heritage and culture of the land.
Prof J P Singh Joorel, Dean Mathematical Science & JUTA president presided over the function. In his address, he reflected on the need for such contributions that would go a long way in developing a culture of research among academicians.
Prof Naresh Padha, former Registrar Jammu University, gave his special remarks saying that this book will be an asset for the students as well as researchers.
Abey Pargal, social activist, HoD History, Professor Shailendar Singh, HoD Economics, Prof Deepankar Sen Gupta, Vijay Saigal general secretary JUTA, Dr Vikas Sharma and Pankaj Gupta were also present on the occasion.
