BATOTE, Nov 12: MLA Ramban, Ashok Kumar sanctioned Rs 5 lakh each from his Constituency Development Fund for construction of passenger shelters with benches and other facilities at Assar and Kanderi Nallah on Batote-Doda highway.
The MLA also demanded tehsil status for Batote and Assar and promotion of tourism in the area. He urged upon the Government to make a comprehensive plan for starting water sports, motor boating, fish rearing activity, parks and cable car project at Bagliar dam site. The MLA also stressed for expediting work on link roads to Sanasar, Chakwa and Kudmat Devta temple at Pasyala from Batote.He also demanded widening of Patnitop-Sanasar road.
Later, the MLA inaugurated street lights at Ward No. 7 Batote and at Baggar in Assar Block. He was accompanied by several activists.
