MLC provides Rs 40 lakh for improving power supply

NOWSHERA, June 3: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), general secretary and spokesman Ravinder Sharma (MLC) has provided  Rs 40 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for improving power supply position In Nowshera and Sunderbani area.
During visit to Sunderbani and Nowshera areas today, the MLC held meetings which were attended by Sarpanchs and Panchs besides BCC and other party workers. They projected the demands of the area related to grim power scenario and water supply position. The issues related to public distribution system and transport also came under discussion.  The locals also demanded direct bus service from Lam-Larok-Jhangar to Jammu via Beri Pattan and to Shahdara Shrief.
Responding to the power crisis in the twin tehsils, the MLC announced  assistance of Rs 40 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund  to meet the urgent needs of people relating to PDD in different Panchayats of Tehsils Nowshera and Sunderbani. He further assured to take up other issues of the people with the concerned authorities. He also asked the PDD and PHE staff to expedite work in close coordination to maintain supply of water and power to the area and sort out the issue of low voltage.
