MM International students selected for baseball Nationals

Jammu, Oct 7: In the recently held ’48th Haryana School Games State Level Tournament’ at Karnal, the Under-17 baseball team (Girls) of Ambala, with 10 players from M.M. International School, Mullana added another feather to its cap by not only winning 2nd position in the tournament but getting a place for 5 of its students in the National Level as well.
This is for the first time for Ambala to have made its way to finals and secure 2nd position in the prestigious tournament. Under the guidance of the school coach, Anju Gautam, the 5 girls of MM International School who have been selected for the National Level competition included Aditi, Shruti,Komal Kalra, Aayushi and Daisy. Vineeta Rajput, the director of the school congratulated the team and the sports department for winning laurels not only for the school but for the district also.
The team secured its place in finals by defeating Karnal in semi-finals by 16-6. Prior to that,in an interesting set of quarter finals, Ambala defeated Mahendergarh by 7-3 and Sirsa by 9-2. The final match was played between Ambala and Kaithal, where the latter took the lead restricting Ambala to 2-4.
