JAMMU, Apr 27: Modern Montessori International (MMI) Preschool Jammu conducted an Orientation programme for parents of the new students here today.
Principal of MMI, Pragya Gupta welcomed parents, Director of the school Sapna Rohmetra, Special Guest Shria Abrol (RCI, Counsellor) and Sahar Rohmetra. Luck plants were also given to the guests by students Aerin & Shanin on the occasion.
The Montessori concept implemented in the school was highlighted by the principal. She emphasized that the focus of preschool is on self-learning and the development of skills that support a child’s intellectual, social, mental and emotional growth.
“It gives me immense pleasure and reminds me of the fruitful years from March 2017 to April 2024, which was full of learning and fun,” she added in her capacity as the school’s principal. She expressed her gratitude to Sapna Rohmetra, the school Director, for her unwavering support in making MMI the best school in Jammu.
She said that MMI was started with a vision to establish and maintain accessible quality education for all the children. She also introduced team MMI with the parents.
Subsequently, the orientation program was taken over by Shria Abrol RCI, Counsellor, who focused on understanding child psychology, providing toddler-friendly parenting tips, and explaining the Montessori Framework.
After a session with Shria, Surabhi took over and explained about Montessori activities. This was followed by a Montessori presentation by Class Mentors Manisha and Shivani and students Eriene, Aerin, Shanin, Anvit, Mahbir and Maullik. This was followed by a Question/Answers session with Shria Abrol which was very informative.
Meanwhile, a memento was presented to Shria Abrol by Director Sapna Rohmetra and Principal Pragya Gupta of the School. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Manager MMI, Mehak.
