Model Academy accords Farewell to class XII students

JAMMU, Feb 20: The Blessings and Farwell Ceremony for class XII students of Model Academy was held in the school campus today.
Dr Arun Gupta, Chairman MIER was the chief guest, while Dr Renu Gupta was the guest of honour. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Dr Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER, Rupa Gupta, Management Representative, Ruchika Gupta, Project Director Humming Buds, Dr Chitra Mishra, Principal, Usha Gadoo, Vice Principal, Manjari Sehgal and Jasleen, Academic Managers and Ruchi Sharma, Quality Assurance Officer.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest.
The programme comprised songs, dances and sharing of experiences thoughtfully and painstakingly arranged by class XI students as they wanted to make this occasion a truly memorable one for their seniors.
Then came the most awaited event of the day, crowning of ‘Mr & Ms. Modelite’ through a well laid out personality contest. The ramp walk by the vibrant, dazzling and radiant boys and girls won the hearts of all with their grace and grit.
‘Mr. Modelite Title’ was bagged by Anmol Kashyap and Asif Khan as joint winners, while Apurva Gupta bagged the title of ‘Ms. Modelite’.
‘The student of the Year Award’ also went to Ms. Apurva Gupta. All the winners in different categories were honoured with appreciation certificates in a glittering ceremony on the ocasion.
Dr Arun Gupta, Chairman MIER, blessed the students and advised them to be focused and to put in their best efforts to excel in the board examination.
He further said that the students will now become part of 50,000 alumni of the institution and hoped that they will make their family, school and nation proud.
Dr Adit Gupta Joint Director, in his speech gave valuable tips to students and how to face the board exams with confidence and self assurance.
Class XII students were sentimental and emotional in recalling their happy memories in the school.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Sandesh Thakur and Muskaan Dhar, while Mohsina presented vote of thanks.
The whole programme was coordinated by Manju Vali and Amarjot.
