JAMMU, Dec 21: Model Academy, a prestigious institution under MIER, celebrated its 88th Annual Day with great enthusiasm, marking a significant milestone in its legacy. The event, themed “Jeevan Utsav – A Celebration of Life,” was a vibrant display of talent, unity, and achievement, showcasing the school’s journey of growth and success.
The celebration was graced by chief guest Yudhvir Sethi, Member of the Legislative Assembly and Dr Renu Gupta, Chairperson of MIER, who served as the guest of honour. Other dignitaries included Dr. Adit Gupta, Director of MIER, Rupa Gupta, Joint Director of MIER, Principal Pramod Kumar Srivastava, Vice Principal JK Dhiman and other staff members.
Dr Adit Gupta emphasized the importance of fostering creativity and community spirit through such events. The programme featured captivating performances by students, including classical dance, patriotic dance, fusion dance, a jungle safari performance, and a soulful rendition by the school orchestra. The performances from Humming Buds and the special school added an extra charm, captivating the audience with their innocence and enthusiasm.
Chief guest Yudhvir Sethi praised Model Academy for its academic excellence, sports achievements and the integration of modern technology with traditional teaching. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Rupa Gupta, celebrating the collective achievements of students and staff. Nisha Arora, Convener of CCA and Neetu Bhardwaj, Co-convener of CCA coordinated the programme.
