JAMMU, Oct 13: Model Academy, organized the “Meet Our Alumni” programme in order to appraise the students and staff with distinguished Alumni of the school who have contributed significantly to their companies and communities while upholding the highest standards and values in life.
Sanjay Kaul, Country Manager, Apple India was the distinguished alumnus on this occasion who had passed out from the school in the year 1989. Present during the occasion were Dr Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER, Pramod Srivastava, Principal, Usha Gadoo, Vice Principal, Jasleen Mohial Academic Manager and Ruchi Sharma, Quality Assurance Officer.
Dr. Adit Gupta, Joint Director, MIER while welcoming the distinguished Alumnus said that Sanjay Kaul’s towering accomplishments in the corporate world is indeed a matter of joy and pride for all of us. He also highlighted his achievements right from the school days to his present position as the Head of Apple India which is one of the leading technology companies of the world. He narrated to the audience incidents from the school life of Kaul and lauded his success in academics especially in the board examinations.
He was not only good in academics but also excelled in sports and co-curricular activities.
While talking to the students Kaul recollected the beautiful memories of the time he spent in the school and advised the students to focus not only on their studies but also develop requisite competencies to achieve success in life. Kaul during his session gave an inspiring presentation on the theme “Leadership and Success” wherein he highlighted the core aspects of leadership like hard work, commitment, resilience, ownership and conviction.
He exhorted the students to think big and think differently and to demonstrate leadership qualities in every aspect of their life.
A Distinguished Alumni Award was also presented to Sanjay Kaul in recognition of his significant contributions and accomplishments by Dr. Adit Gupta.
The programme ended with an interactive session with the distinguished guest.
Later, Mr. Sanjay Kaul also sought blessings of Dr. Arun K Gupta, Chairman, MIER and Dr. Renu Gupta, Director, MIER and acknowledged their immense contribution in preparing him to achieve high accolades in life.
The vote of thanks was presented byPramod Srivastava and the programme was compered by Manju Vali Convener Co-Curricular Committee.
