JAMMU, Jan 28: Modern Public School Channi Himmat celebrated Annual Day-cum-Prize Distribution function in its school premises, here today.
Raman Bhalla, Minister for Housing, Culture and Horticulture was the chief guest on the occasion, while chairperson, Padmashree Dr Ved Kumari Ghai presided over the function.
The students presented colourful items, which included Dogri, Kashmiri, Rajasthani and Punjabi folk dances, besides a humourous skit.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Bhalla said that cultural and co-curricular activities foster simultaneous process of thinking and feeling, which in turn lead to gradual growth of latent qualities in the students.
Earlier, the annual report of the school was read by Vice Principal, Poonam Sharma, while the programme was compeered by Nikhil and Simran Parihar.
Principal of the School, Himanshu Sharma presented vote of thanks.
