JAMMU, Jan 10: Lohri , The “bonfire festival” was celebrated in a grandiose manner at JKMS Tirth Nagar in school premises .
The Programme commenced with a special assembly by the students with the reason why Lohri is celebrated. After that, JKMS students presented a skit exhibiting how Lohri marks the end of bad deeds and hatred and ushers in brother hood all over the country. This program was coupled with songs and gidda by the students.
Management, vice principal and staff members of the school lit pious Lohri fire and the entire staff took parikrama of the fire.
The programme concluded with message by vice principal who conveyed that we should put all our efforts to spread love and peace so as to make this earth a place worth living.
