JAMMU, Jan 10: A month long hawan will be organized during “Maag Month” by Shiv Mandir, Sector Numbers 5 and 7, Trikuta Nagar.
This was stated by Hari Gandotra, Trustee of the Shiv Mandir during a press conference here today. He was flanked by Devinder Seth, President, Management Committee of the Temple, ML Sharma, OP Sharma, Lal Man Sharma, Dr RL Handoo, Urmil Arora and Pawan Shastri, President, Jammu Yatri Bhawan.
Gandotra further stated that forthcoming festival of Lohri and Makar Sakranti will also be celebrated in temple premises with a bang.
“From April 16, a week long ‘Bhagwat Saptah’ will also be organized which will be conducted by renowned saint from Mathura. A Yoga camp will also be conducted by Swami Satya Narayan from Baba Ramdev Ashram, Haridwar”, Gandotra maintained.
While speaking, Devinder Seth, President of the Management Committee of the Temple informed about the various works being carried out in the temple premises.
He said that during the present tenure, works including fixing of decorative glass inside the temple, construction of bore well, water proofing of roof of whole temple, construction of two entrance gates, boundary wall of temple, established ‘Aadhar Card’ camp in temple.
Seth maintained that in the near future various other works will be taken up, which include construction of satsang and yoga halls, increasing the accommodation of priests, etc.
Pawan Shastri, President, Jammu Yatri Bhawan along with committee members chalked out the strategy for ‘Kumbh Mela’ to be held at Haridwar in the month of February.
