JAMMU, Feb 26: Terming the education as main driving force for progress in present times, the Minister for Planning Development and Labour Employment, Ajay Sadhotra today stressed on the teaching community to impart moral education side by side academics among the students to build a strong India.
The Minister was speaking at the annual day function organized by KIDZEE-Pre-School of Zeee Learning Ltd here at Zorawar Singh Auditorium of Jammu University this afternoon.
Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu, Atul Goel and Director Education, Jammu T K Sharma were the guests of honour.
The Minister said that future of nation lies on the shoulders of youth adding that there was a need to imbibe moral values among them to evolve a progressive society.
Listing the measures taken by the State Government to strengthen education sector, he said that the main focus was on to expand its reach to every nook and corner of the State.
He said private schools are also playing a commendable role in providing quality education to the students and meeting the cherished goal of universalization of education in the State. He said with the expansion of education facilities, including higher education to the far flung areas, the State has witnessed a quantum increase in literacy rate.
On the occasion, tiny-tots of KIDZEE schools of Anand Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Talab Tillo and Channi Himmat presented a variety show. The dance items and “Muje Maaf Karna and Ragupati Raguv” were appreciated by the audience.
