RAJOURI, Dec 19: A woman and her 8-year-old daughter were injured in a road mishap at Manore Gala on Rajouri- Kotranka road today.
Official sources said that the accident occurred when a car which was on its way to Rajouri from Kotranka hit the pedestrians- woman and her daughter. The car driver fled the spot while locals removed both the injured to GMC, Associated Hospital Rajouri where they are under treatment.
They further said that the car was intercepted at Khandli bridge police check post near Rajouri town and has been seized for further legal proceedings.
The injured were identified as Musarrat Begum, wife of Mohammad Younis and her daughter Irien Fatima, resident of Ladote village of Rajouri.
SHO Rajouri, Inspector Aejaz Ahmed Wani told that the vehicle has been seized and a case FIR No. 540/2023 U/S 279/337 IPC has been registered.
