Mother’s Day celebrated

JAMMU, May 8: Mother’s Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal.
Jodhamal School celebrated Mother’s Day. Neetu Menni Gulati, Principal Polytechnic College Jammu was the chief guest, while School Principal, Trilok Singh Bist, School Trustee, Arati Kuthiala and Vice Principal, Monika Sethi were also present. The junior kids of classes I, II and III gave a wonderful performance of their talent. They danced merrily and sang songs in the praise of motherhood. To entertain mothers, games were also organized and prizes were given to the winning mothers. Earlier, Urmila Koul delivered the welcome speech and in the end, vote of thanks was presented by CCA Coordinator, Junior Wing, Sonia Mahajan.
Mother’s Day was celebrated at GHSS Sheesh Mahal Poonch. Deputy Chairman Legislative Council Jahangir Hussain Mir was the chief Guest. The theme of the programme was ‘Maa Tujeh Salaam’. Lal Hussain CEO Poonch, Narinder Suri and Prof Jagbir Singh Sudan, KK Kapoor, retd Dy CEO also spoke on the occasion. A colorful cultural programme was presented by the students.
To celebrate Mother’s Day, District Social Welfare Department under the aegis of District Administration Kathua arranged a trip for 20 girl inmates of Nari Niketan to Raymon Circus at Hatli Morh, Kathua. District Social Welfare Officer Kathua, Surinder Sharma and Superintendent of Nari Niketan Kathua Kailash Devi accompanied the inmates.
To celebrate Mother’s Day, Nirvana Academy organised dance and fitness programme for mothers and kids at Dancing World–Dance and Fitness Academy Bhawani Nagar. Smiley Tanuja Chahar Chettri Booiaka certified dance and fitness trainer was the guest trainer on the occasion. More than 10 women from different walks of life took part in the training programme. The programme commenced with a dance and fitness session under the guidance of Smiley Tanuja and Goldy Kalotra, Director Dancing World. General Secretary Nirvana Academy Meenakshi Sharma was also present on the occasion.
Mother’s Day was celebrated by Doon International School. Mamta Singh, wife of Dy CM Dr Nirmal Singh was the chief guest. The students presented vibrant heart touching and emotional programme. Various competitions and games were also organized and the participating mothers were honoured. Chairman, GN Tantry, Vice Chairman MA Tantry and Principal Vikesh Kaur were also present.
