Mother’s Day celebrated with lot of fanfare in various educational institutions

JAMMU, May 7: Mother’s Day was celebrated today by great enthusiasm and a lot of fanfare by various educational institutions of the State by organizing a variety of events for the mothers and kids.
Mother’s Day was celebrated at KC International School (KCIS) with a lot of fanfare. The mothers of the students were invited to school to participate in various activities like Rangoli, dancing, singing, art and craft, and fireless cooking in which they participated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. Choir of the school sang songs to honour the mother and some students danced on the melodious tunes appreciating their mother and showing their gratitude towards them.
Delhi Public School celebrated Mother’s Day with immense passion and zeal. Jhelum House presented a special assembly to acknowledge the love, hard work and all the sacrifices that Mothers make for all of us. The articulation and act of the performers made the audience totally spellbound. The Principal, Ruchi Chabra, Headmistress and staff members were present on the occasion. The school also organized various activities to celebrate the day.
Students of Rich Harvest School, Bari Brahmana, celebrated Mother’s day by paying a visit to the Old Age Home at Amphalla. They had made some beautiful greeting cards, handicrafts with boxes and brought along lots of other gifts for the senior citizen. There the children spent some precious time with the inhabitants and came to know about their life style and daily routine at the old age home. All the grannie’s and grandpa’s were also delighted to meet their little guests.
J&K Police Public School celebrated Mother’s Day with great pomp and show. The celebrations began with lighting of traditional lamp by guests as different cultural items were presented by the tiny tots of the School which left all the viewers spell bound. Different games were also arranged for mothers and the winner Mothers were honored with prizes and gifts on behalf of K Vijaya Rajendra, Chairperson, Police Public Schools.
Mother’s Day was celebrated by Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu with full enthusiasm. A special assembly was organized in the school in which students presented beautiful poems, songs and dances dedicated to Mothers. They students also presented hand-made greeting cards and photo frames to their Mothers. Children thanked their mothers for always being there for them. Principal cum vice- chairperson, Rohini Aima, was also present on the occasion.
SM Shishu Niketan Higher Secondary School, Anand Nagar, Patta Bohri celebrated Mother’s Day with great enthusiasm and gaiety in the presence of Managing Director, Parneesh Mahajan, Principal, Manikarnika Bhasin and others. The celebration started with a special assembly in which the students of higher classes highlighted the importance of the Day. The Toddlers were attired in mothers costume depicting their mother’s personality. They also presented various items based on the theme of Mother’s Day.
Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua celebrated Mother’s Day with full zeal and enthusiasm. All the mothers were invited to school. Children performed various activities to acknowledge their love for the Mothers. Children prepared beautiful greeting cards and presented to their respective mothers. Many games were organized for the entertainment of mothers like sewing buttons in one minute, modeling, newspaper dance and passing the parcel. Principal, Shuchita Gupta, was also present on the occasion.
Mother’s day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School. Students of different classes participated in it and presented various performances including songs, poems, articles and stories dedicated to Mothers. Students of Pre-nursery and Nursery class presented poems and songs dedicated to their mothers. They also made cards for their mothers with the help of teachers.
The Day was also celebrated with great fervor in the premises of Ashoka High School, Krishna Nagar, Jammu. A special assembly was organized on the occasion and events like singing, debate and writing competition were held. The winners of writing and singing competitions were awarded by the Principal, Kamini Angral.
Bhargava Public School celebrated Mother’s day by organizing various activities in its premises. A poetry recitation and speech competition was also organized. In the Kindergarten section, Kids prepared small thank you cards with their hand print for their loving Mother. In the later part of the day, Card making competition was organized where Jhelum house stood first whereas Beas and Raavi houses got second and third positions, respectively.
To thank the beautiful mothers, students of Dewan Devi Playway School celebrate Mother’s Day with great zeal. A cultural programme was presented by the tiny tots. The students of Primary Wing made beautiful cards for their mothers. Fireless Cooking competition was also held in the premises. Students prepared nice puddings, snacks, salads for their loving mothers.
Rainbow Public School organized an impressive function on the occasion of Mother’s Day at Rampura, Gandhi Nagar within school premises. Ajay Pargal, State general secretary, BJYM, was the chief guest. While speaking on the occasion, Ajay Pargal appreciated the multi talented role of mothers as house women, as working women and much more. Chairperson of the School, Krishan Kishore Khajuria, and Principal, Suman Sharma, were also present.
The Pre-Primary Wing of RM Public School celebrated Mother’s Day with great enthusiasm. The little champs of the school presented a gift to the Trustee, Rita Mengi. Thereafter, Trustee along with Principal, Ravinder Kour, cut the cake and distributed among the tiny tots. Both the ladies showered their blessings over the little champs.
The primary wing of Minerva Public School, Barnoti (Kathua) celebrated Mothers’ Day to show their love and express gratitude towards their mothers. The teachers of the kindergarten made beautiful cards for the mothers of the children. The secretary of the school, Sheetal Sharma delivered a speech on this day and told the students about the importance of the mother in child’s life. Tiny tots recited poems on the occasion and enjoyed the day.
Luthra Public School and Shemrock Angels celebrated Mother’s Day in BR Luthra Educational complex, Talab Tillo, Jammu. Sanjeev Luthra, Principal, Luthra Public School, was the chief guest. As, it was the day for mothers so all the mothers of little shemrockians participated in different games and other activities. The students of Shemrock Angels also made their mothers feel happy with their sweet performances.
On Mother’s Day, Stephens got an opportunity to revert back to our mothers and show our gratitude towards her by presenting a colorful programme. The students sang songs, danced and played a guitar as a token of love and gifted their mothers with valuable items which showed that everyone wants to ensure that their mothers feel loved and appreciated for their efforts.
The Day was also celebrated by gaiety and enthusiasm by Chander Bhaga High School. Mothers were invited to participate in various events like Musical Chair, Cross Questioning, Gesture Reading, Blind Fold in which they actively participated and winners of events were awarded by Principal, Pawan Bhardwaj.
The Mother’s Day was celebrated with zeal and fervor in the premises of Elite Public High School, Om Nagar, Udheywalla, Jammu. A small party was organized for the mothers of the students wherein a variety of games were conducted for them. The winner mothers were awarded prizes by Vice-Principal, Kiran Durani.
Kids Planet, Extension Vikas Lane, Talab Tillo organized the Mother’s Day celebrations in the school premises by inviting the mothers of the children who enlightened this occasion by participating with full zeal in various events organized by the school. The programme started by welcoming the mothers and their children with surprised hand printing followed by card making and photo frame making competition. A dance performance was also given by the students.
KIDZEE, a pre-school of ‘Zee Learn Ltd’ celebrated Mother’s Day at its branches- Anand Nagar (Bohri), Talab Tillo, Gandhi Nagar and Channi Himmat, Jammu. The celebration started with a special assembly in which the teachers highlighted the concept behind the Mother’s Day. Mothers of kids were invited and activities like Fireless Cooking Competition, Flowers Arrangement, Musical Chair, Passing the Ball, Mother and Child Compatibility round, were organized for them.
SSPS Bari Brahmna, a fun school, celebrated Mother’s Day by organizing a colourful programme. The programme commenced with special assembly in which students presented various rhymes and group song on the love between mother and child. The Director of the school, VK Sharma Principal, Anjali Sharma, were present on the occasion.
Shemrock Luthra Public School celebrated Mother’s Day with zeal. District general secretary of Congress for Jammu district, Gourav Chopra was the chief guest on the occasion. A special function was organized on the occasion where students presented a number of wonder dances, songs and skits. Modeling was also done by the mothers of the kids on the occasion.
DRS Kids, Trikuta Nagar organized Mother’s Day with a theme ‘Summer-Table Layout’. To make the celebration more special, some mothers were invited and were asked to prepare mocktails, summer fruits salad, etc. The winner mothers were awarded by the Principal of the school.
Cradle2Crayons School pre-Primary School, Lower Roopnagar, Jammu, celebrated the Day with great enthusiasm. Various events like Bindi Decoration, Fireless Cooking and Musical Chair for the mothers of the kids were organized on the occasion. An interactive chat was also organized where mothers shared their individual experiences.
In connection with Mother’s Day, Humming Buds– a Preschool Chain of Model Academy, organized a “Happy Parenting” workshop in collaboration with XSEED, an internationally researched curriculum formulated by alumni of Harvard, IIT and MIT. Ruchika Gupta, Project Director, Humming Buds, gave an overview of the workshop and explained how Humming Buds provides a conducive learning environment for kids. Parents were apprised about new innovations in teaching and novel methods to engage and stimulate their children.
Mother’s Day was celebrated by Kids Planet Public School, Akhnoor with great pomp and show at Mahajan Hall, Akhnoor. Mothers of Kindergarten were invited and a variety of games were organized for them in which they enthusiastically participated. A fancy dress competition was also organized for mothers. The winners of events were awarded by Principal, Mona Gupta.
Madhuvan Kids Playway and Kindergarten celebrated Mother’s Day with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The main attraction of the event was the collage of mothers designed by the toddlers of the school, card designing by the students and the various fun activities.
Meanwhile, in connection with Mother’s Day, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) staged musical play “Maa Pyar Ka Sagar” in co-ordination with Sangam Tru Art Production and ESRM at its office premises. Written, directed and produced by ML Dogra, chairman, BLSKS, the play commenced with Songs “Maa ki surat se alag bagwan ki surat kya hogi “, “Maa tu Sach Much Rani Maa” , “Maa ka mul Pehchano ” , “Swarg maa ke Charno mai”, ” Maa Sabki Pyari – Sabki Dulari”. The music of the play was composed by renowned singer, Raju Bajgal.
Mothers day was today celebrated with fervor at Army Goodwill School Ahagom in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Students participated in the function with keen interest and enthusiasm.
