Motorcycle bomb injures 16 in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, May 16:  At least 16 people were injured when a bomb planted on a motorcycle ripped through a busy market in Pakistan’s garrison city of Rawalpindi, police said today.
The explosion occurred yesterday outside a popular restaurant located on College Road in the old city area.
A police official said that the bomb was detonated through a remote control device. Up to 5 kg explosive was used in the bombing.
Window panes of several buildings were shattered due to the explosion.
Another police officials said that owner of the eatery was the target as he had already received threatening call from militants groups involved in extortion. (PTI)
