DODA, Apr 26: A 35-year-old motorcyclist was killed in accident near Udyanpur area on Doda-Bharat link road here today.
As per police sources, driver of a truck bearing registration number JK06-7429 was reversing his vehicle, when a motorcycle bearing registration number PB21D-7485 came under it near Udyanpur, resulting into grievous injuries to the motorcyclist.
The profusely bleeding victim was rushed to District Hospital Doda, where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Feroz Ahmad Naik, son of Mohammad Naik, a resident of Neelso Kulhand, District Doda.
After completing legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Doda Police Station and investigation started.
