Motorcyclist nabbed with heroin

JAMMU, Nov 26: Police nabbed a motorcyclist along with 3 grams of heroin from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk, falling under the jurisdiction of RS Pura police station.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from RS Pura police station laid a naka at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BG-9657.
During checking, police recovered 3 grams of heroin from the possession of the motorcyclist and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Sahil Gupta, son of Surinder Gupta, a resident of Gangyal.
A case under 181/16 RPC and 8/21/22/29 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused at police station RS Pura and investigation started to ascertain the source of consignment.
Police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and assisted by SHO RS Pura Inspector Bhushan Manhas made the arrest under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu Romesh Kotwal.
