JAMMU, May 10: Mount Litera Zee School, Anand Nagar Bohri, Jammu organized Kalarippayattu demonstration in the school premises, here today.
This programme was launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India, under the scheme of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat’.
Eight member team of Indian Kalarippayattu Federation have arrived in Jammu to promote this Indian Traditional Martial Art all over the country, beginning from Jammu and Kashmir.
After holding demonstration at KC International School, Jammu and Kashmir Kalarippayattu Association held the demonstration at Mount Litera Zee School today.
Dr SM Bali, Joint Secretary Indian Olympic Association and President, Kalarippayattu Association of Jammu and Kashmir was the chief guest on the occasion, while Chairman of the School, Er Parneesh Mahajan was the guest of honour.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Liaison Officer, Harvinder Singh Sihotra, Principal Manikarnika Bhasin and Coordinator Radhika Mahajan.
