MP asks people to keep vigil on Central schemes

KHOUR (Akhnoor), Dec 17: Member Parliament Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency,  Madan Lal Sharma asked the people and Panchayat members  to keep vigil on the Centrally sponsored schemes and other development related works and take benefits of all the schemes meant for them.
Addressing a public meeting at village Mallah (Neeli Nallah) in Khour block of district Jammu today, Mr Sharma advocated for inclusive development irrespective of any distinction of religion, caste, colour, rich or poor.    He asked the people to avail benefits under various Central and social protection schemes run by the Govt. He also directed the concerned officers to guide people  and ensure that they get benefit of such schemes.
The Congress MP also laid stress on the social audit  and asked the community leaders to monitor  and keep close vigil on these programmes. He claimed that Central Government led by Congress has provided huge funds to the State Government and many major projects have been launched. But he maintained that there was need to improve road condition and provide basic amenities at several places in Khour block.
While highlighting the achievements of UPA Government the MP asked the party men to gear up for forth coming     elections and popularize the pro-poor decisions of the Government. He claimed that Food Security Bill would provide subsidized ration to the poor people of the country and it is going to provide a bigger relief to them in the country. The MP also directed the officers accompanying to address the local needs and problems of people.
Vice Chairman OBC Kuldeep Raj Verma, Madan Mohan, Rajinder Sharma Angrezu Ram and K L Sudan also addressed the gathering.
