MPDA Transport Nagar discusses demands

JAMMU, Dec 29: Motor Parts Dealers Association (MPDA) in its general body meeting here today held under the chairmanship of Balbir Singh Sethi discussed various issues regarding development of Transport Nagar.
The issues discussed include development of roads, sanitation, electricity, water problem and removal of unclaimed and unused vehicles parked in the Transport Nagar for a long time.
A memorandum was also submitted to Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand turning his attention towards the worsening condition of Transport Nagar as after the establishment of Transport Nagar no development could take place there.
Accusing the JDA and JMC of ignoring the area the members of the Association said that both organisations were blaming each other.
They appealed the Deputy Chief Minister to a pay a visit to Transport Nagar and see the condition of the inmates there. Despite giving highest revenue the Transport Nagar sans basic amenities, they added.
A copy of memorandum was also submitted to SDPO East urging him to get the unclaimed vehicles removed from the areas because it can cause security problem as Republic Day is approaching near.
Moreover, it was decided that all other associations and organizations of Transport Nagar stand dissolved as approved earlier by the members of MPDA in the meeting.
The meeting was also addressed by Anmol Sethi, Nishikant Khajuria, Rajinder Kakkar, Sanjay Dogra and Sham Gupta.
