MTA urges Govt to remove disparity in cadre

JAMMU, June 20: Medical Teachers’ Association, Jammu, has urged the State Government to remove disparity in medical cadres by abolishing Lecturers cadre.
In a meeting of the Association held here today, its president, Tariq Azad demanded the State Government led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to enhance the pay and perks of the medical cadres at par with medical employees of Central Government.
These steps will certainly enable the Government to attract faculty for newly announced five Medical Colleges, he added.
The meeting also urged all the members to leave no stone unturned in alleviating the miseries of the patients and further improve the standard of medical education.
