RAJOURI, Apr 20: A reverse tour from Mumbai, Maharashtra comprising of 138 students, 19 teachers and four principals of various schools visited Army Goodwill Public School, Rajouri today.
A cultural programme was presented by the students showcasing the rich culture and heritage of their different demographic backgrounds. The students had fruitful cultural exchange with the local students which helped in better integration and understanding of the diversities of their cultural backgrounds.
The students from Mumbai also visited ‘Hall of fame’ at the Ace of Spades Division which was an enthralling experience, as they were made privy to a wreath laying ceremony at the war memorial and were educated on the history of Rajouri and the role of Indian Army in its liberation in 1948 as it had been infiltrated by irregulars and regular Pakistan army personnel.
