Muneeb, Vivrant score fifties as J&K gains 1st innings lead

JAMMU, Jan 30: J&K skipper Vivrant Sharma and middle-order batsman, Muneeb Munaf scored brilliant half centuries to help Jammu and Kashmir gain a vital 25-run first innings lead over Goa in the ongoing CK Nayudu Under-23 Cricket Tournament at Sanguem Cricket Stadium, Goa.
Earlier, resuming from an overnight score of 62/2, J&K rode on half-centuries by Vivrant (56) and Muneeb (65) to score 233 runs, thus gaining lead. Musaif Ajaz (34) and Kanhaiya Wadhawan (31) were the other contributors.
From Goa, Balpreet Singh and VG Kahlon took 4 wickets each, while Nihal S and Deepraj Gaonkar claimed 1 wicket each.
Goa, in the second essay were 88/3 at the draw of stumps today.
Ishaan Gadekar (42) and VG Kahlon (14) were at the crease. From Jammu and Kashmir, Sunil Kumar took 2 wickets, while Lone Nasir Muzaffar claimed one.
