KARGIL, Apr 20: First Munshi Habibullah Memorial Cricket Tournament, organized by Social and Educational Welfare Society commenced today at Khree Sultan Choo Stadium, Biamathang.
The Tournament was declared open by Executive Councilor for Tourism and Zanskar Affairs Punchok Tashi, who was the chief guest.
In the tournament, around 70 teams from different blocks of Kargil are vying for the coveted trophy.
While speaking, Punchok Tashi told that organizing such events will boost the morale of the sports person and help in imparting and teaching brotherhood and sportsmanship spirit amongst the players.
District Sheep Husbandry Officer Dr Mohd Raza and other district officers were also present.
