Muse want Glastonbury 2016 gig

LONDON, Oct 4:  English rock band Muse hope to be asked to headline Glastonbury next year.
The “Supermassive Blackhole” hitmakers wish they could perform at the iconic music event every summer, but are particularly keen to top the bill while promoting latest album ‘Drones’, reported Femalefirst.
Bassist Chris Wolstenholme said, “I think we would play Glasto every year if we could. It’s probably the best festival in the world.
“We’re all hoping we get to do it on this album. It’s been a while.”
This year, the band headlined heavy metal festival Download and enjoyed being able to show off their early influences and prove they were a suitable choice for the event.
The trio recently performed an intimate stripped-back gig at London’s Electric Ballroom venue and found playing such a small show had a “stronger energy” to their stadium concerts. (PTI)
