JAMMU, Feb 15: An instrumental musical concert “Classical Fusion” was organised by Nirvana Academy, Sharda Sangeet and Sarwaswati Sangeet Kala Mandir in association with Hotel Swastik here.
Director Tourism, Saujanya Sharma, was the chief guest. The programme was an initiative to promote art, culture and tourism in the State. Saptak and instrumental fusion band of the State performed live on the occasion. The programme was sponsored by Dabur India Ltd, Sharda Education Academy, Creamy Bites and Talla Jewellers.
The programme commenced with the lightning of lamp followed by classical music performance on Santoor by Saptak band. A self composed ‘jugalbandi’ on Santoor and Zitar enthralled the audience. Rohit Sharma performed on Santoor and Sumit Sharma on Zitar, Karan Malhotra on Tabla and Rovin Kumar on percussions in the Saptak band. Sawastik Hotel management arranged Dogri food stall on the occasion.
Pawan Shastri, Managing Director of Hotel spoke on the occasion and said that Swastik Group was promoting Dogri culture, tourism and traditional food as well. He pointed out that this programme was an initiative to provide platform to the young talented artists of the State.
Director Tourism, Saujanya Sharma, appreciated the performance of the artists and also expressed gratitude to the Hotel Management for supporting such a wonderful programme and promoting tourism and culture of the State. Gurdass Sharma, Trustee Jammu Yatri Bhawan, Karan Dass GM Swastik Hotel, Hitesh Badyal president Nirvana Academy, Amarjeet Singh from Dabur Group, Sharad Chander Pandey, regional head of Sharda Educational Academy and others were also present.
