Musical Evening with Anmol Jaswal organized

JAMMU, Oct 4: An entertaining programme “Musical Evening with Anmol Jaswal,” was organised by ‘My Times of Jammu’ in association with Jammu and Kashmir Police at Police Auditorium, here.
The programme began with the lighting of ceremonial lamp after which there were special performances by Vidhi Jaswal, Anmol’s sister, who was also in top 20 finalists of the Indian Idol Junior, and the students of The Strings Institute and Rhythm Music Institute.
Anmol came on the stage in the second half of the event and fascinated everyone present in the hall with his soulful singing and also shared his special moments during the Indian Idol Junior show.
He sang some of his best songs from the show along with some Dogri folk songs that completely wowed the audiences on the occasion.
He also thanked the Jammu people for their support throughout his journey in the show.
“I am very thankful to all the people of Jammu who have supported me with their votes through internet and post-paid mobile phone connections,” he said.
“I have no regrets that I could not make it to the trophy. I have received outstanding comments from celebrities like Lata Mangeshkar ji and that’s all what makes me feel like a winner. I can really see my future bright,” he added.
Anmol’s father, Surpal Jaswal who is also a singer, came on stage and impressed everyone with his live performance on the song ‘chhalla.’
Madan Lal Sharma, Member Parliament was the chief guest on the occasion who congratulated ‘The Times Group’ and Jammu lad Anmol success for organising the evening. Other special guests on the occasion were Shantmanu, Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Rajesh Kumar, IGP. Jammu, Pradeep Dutta, Bureau Head Times Now, Rajesh Sharma, Chairman, J&K Co-operative Society Union and Vikrant Dogra of Prayass.
Vicky Chandra, a renowned director and producer from Mumbai was also present in the event who also entertained the audiences by singing a few Bollywood numbers.
The programme was held with support of Rhythm Music Institute, The Strings, Surya Milk, Aastha Skin Care and Dermato-Cosmetic Centre, Hotel 17 Miles, Vodafone and Pushtah Advertising Agency.
