JAMMU, Dec 19: Muskan Rana of Jammu and Kashmir has been declared as Junior National Champion, while senior and junior teams won silver medals in the 25th Senior and 26th Junior National Rhythmic Gymnastic Championships held at Bengaluru in Karnataka from December 16 to 18.
Muskan Rana representing J&K UT has won five medals including 2 Gold and 3 Silver medals in the junior category. Muskan was also declared all round best Gymnast of the country in Rhythmic Gymnastics.
The J&K team comprising Muskan, Jagriti Thakur, Manya and Vaibhavi Sharma performed excellent and got silver medal in team championships in junior category, while in seniors category, the UT gymnasts comprising Vandhana, Sneha Dewan, Stuti Gupta and Viomini Dogra also secured 2nd position by winning Silver medal in team event.
President, Kiran Wattal and secretary Ravinder Singh of the Gymnastics Association of J&K thanked J&K administration under the guidance of Lieutenant Governor and Secretary Sports Council for providing world class Gymnastics Academy to Jammuities resulting good performance at international and national arena.
They also congratulated the Gymnasts, their parents and appreciated the role of coaches specially Krupali Singh, Arjuna Awardee-in-charge of Gymnastics Academy and coaches as well as team members.
