JAMMU, Dec 21: MV International School celebrated its 10th Annual Day Function “ZEST” at Gen Zorawar Singh Auditorium, here today.
The School showcased its landmark achievements amidst a colourful cultural programme.
Sushma Chouhan, Vice Chairperson Jammu Development Authority and Er Kiran Wattal, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation were the guests of honour, while Rakesh Gupta, president, Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Jammu was the special invitee.
Earlier the Chairman of the school, Hira Lal Abrol, Vice Chairperson Savita Abrol, Directors Gourav Abrol and Aakriti Abrol and the Principal K L Dogra welcomed the guests and the parents.
The function began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
The Chairman in his address emphasized on the importance of quality education, sound health and moral values in the holistic development of children.
The Principal presented the annual report and highlighted the very many achievements of the staff and students.
The cultural programme began with floral obeisance to lord Ganesha, Medeley of western dances was followed by the Bollywood masala. The message to save the environment was the highlight of the events of the junior students. The middle school students paid tribute to the martyrs and danced to the tunes of the hit salsa dance number. The special feature of the programme was the unique dance on UV lights which carried to stop the child labour of the senior section.
The guests of honour gave away the prizes to the toppers in academics, 100 % scorers in CBSE exams, 100% scorers in attendance, besides National and State level champions in Robotics, Speedball, Martial Arts, Olympiads and various other competitions.
The programme came to an end with the National Anthem.
