JAMMU, July 16:  A series of co-curricular activities were organized by MV International School for its students.
It involved the participation of each and every student from classes I to XII under the guidance of its teachers.
The outdoor and indoor activities were held during the morning session in the School premises. The students were judged as per their performance individually as well as in the team.
The students of Kindergarten participated in the Activity which gave them knowledge about hygiene and importance of cleanliness in daily life.
The primary wing students of classes Ist and IInd were involved in Show & Tell Activity in which they were made to speak few words on various items that they brought from their homes.
Classes III to V students participated in Spell-Bee Activity in which they were given the words and were asked to spell the right spellings. Classes VI to VIII students presented an Extempore on the topics allotted on the spot and were asked to speak for 3 minutes on the same.
It involved students from four different Houses namely Darwin, Edison, Einstein and Newton.
The first prize was won by Raghav of Class VI of Darwin House, second prize went to Kanika of Class VIII of Newton House and the third prize was won by Gurpreet of Class VIII of Einstein House.
In the outdoor activity, the male students of classes IXth to XIIth took part in the Inter-House football match, while the female students of these classes participated in the Rangoli Making Competition which gave them a platform to present their artistic skills in making different geometrical figures.
The first prize was won by Darwin House, second by Einstein and the third prize by the Edidson House. The idea and motive behind these activities was to involve every student of the school to get equal opportunity that would raise their self-confidence.
It is pertinent to mention here that these activities give students the important lessons of team work, co-ordination, knowledge and skill development apart from regular academic classes.
