JAMMU, May 27: MV International School conducted investiture ceremony with zeal and fervour, here today.
The process was carried on in different phases comprising nomination of candidates, addressing the students regarding their vision, plan of action, shortlisting of the nominees as per the merit of their presentation and performances in a series of interviews with the senior faculty of the school.
Out of 14 nominated candidates five namely Divya Manhas, Mohit Dubey, Shubam Singh, Sakshi Sambyal and Pratiksha saini were short listed as contestants for the portfolio of the Head Girl and the Head Boy.
Divya Manhas and Mohit Dubey were declared elected as the Head Girl and the Head Boy. The remaining nominated girls and boys were chosen to head the Discipline Committee, Cultural Activities Committee and Sports Activities Committee as Captains and Vice Captains.
In addition to these eight students 44 students belonging to classes XII, X, IX and VI were chosen as House Prefects from Darwin, Edison, Einstein and Newton House.
Chairman Heera Lal Abrol was the chief guest who gave sashes and portfolio plates to the student leaders in presence of Principal BN Sarkar.
