UDHAMPUR, Jan 16: In view of ongoing 26th Road Safety Week, Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) in collaboration with Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) Udhampur, conducted a Road Safety Awareness Camp at conference hall of SKPA.
IGP, Danish Rana, Director SKPA, who was the chief guest on the occasion, in his address, appealed the participants to follow traffic rules which help in preventing many road accidents. He said that being a man in uniform police cops have a major role in encouraging every section of the society about making roads safer.
He also encouraged MVD for holding more such awareness camps in different areas of the district as well as State, so that the accidents can be avoided.
ARTO Udhampur, Neeraj Sharma, while addressing the participants urged them to adopt road safety measures, traffic rules and motor vehicle rules as a part of life so that road accidents can be avoided upto greater extent.
Among others, Ravinder K Rao, Assistant Director, SKPA; RC Kotwal, Assistant Director, SKPA; Kamal Sharma, CPO, SKPA, Vikrant Sharma, CLI, SKPA, Sunil Cannie, MVI Udhampur, officers as well as officials of Police Department and over 300 trainees including Deputy SPs and SIs were present on the occasion.
