RAJOURI, Mar 4: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Rajouri organized an awareness programme on revised Kisan Credit Card scheme at Kangri Panchayat, Sunderbani near here.
Speaking on the occasion, District Development Manager, NABARD, Rajouri, Des Raj, highlighted the scheme and benefits of Kisan Credit Cards (KCCs) to the farmers. He informed the farmers that the KCC card is valid for five years and the loan limit is fixed on the basis of scale of finance and land holdings. The farmers have to complete formalities only at the time of issue of KCC, he added.
Area Manager, J&K Grameen Bank, MS Bahu, in his address informed the farmers that under KCC farmers are eligible to avail crop loans at cheaper rates and interest subvention is also available to them. He highlighted the new schemes introduced by the Bank regarding NEFT/RTGS and Western Union Money Transfer. Later, he distributed KCC passbooks among the farmers.
