JAMMU, Feb 23: The foundation stone of POWERGRID Vishram Sadan at AIIMS Bilaspur was laid by J. P. Nadda, MP (RS) here today.
The stone was laid in the presence of Dr. Mansukh L. Mandaviya, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Chemical and Fertilizers, Anurag Singh Thakur, Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting of India, and Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India and Jairam Thakur, Leader of Opposition and Former Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh.
POWERGRID is commissioning projects of approx. 50 crores for AIIMS Bilaspur under its CSR. Vishram Sadan will be spread in a 4641.38 sq.m area, having four storeys, 250 beds and will be built at an estimated project cost of Rs. 26.75 crore.
The Sadan is equipped with all requisite amenities such as waiting hall, cafeteria, fully equipped rooms/ dormitories etc. MRI machine – Rs. 16 crores MRI machine offering a safer, more comfortable experience with imaging results that can be generated quickly and accurately. 128 Slice CT Scanner machine – Rs. 7 crores.
POWERGRID evolved the concept of ‘Vishram Sadan,’ to provide a comfortable stay to the waiting patients and their attendants and also alleviates financial burden of poor patients coming from distant parts of the country to specialized hospitals in urban areas.
In this journey, POWERGRID is reaching out to the weaker and needy sections of the society by providing facility of more than 3000 beds across its various Vishram Sadans.
POWERGRID as a responsible corporate citizen has already constructed 7 Vishram Sadans at various hospitals all over India including AIIMS, New Delhi, KGMC, Lucknow, UP, IGIMS, Patna, Bihar, DMCH, Darbhanga, Bihar, GMCH, Guwahati, Assam, SSG, Vadodara, Gujarat and NIMHANS, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
R. K. Tyagi, CMD, POWERGRID, Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel), Dr. (Prof.) Vir Singh Negi, Executive Director, AIIMS Bilaspur and senior officials from POWERGRID and AIIMS were also present during the event.
