JAMMU, Jan 27: Outplaying KC Sports Club Juniors in a close contest in the quarterfinals, Nagrota Cricket Club sealed berth in the semifinals of the ongoing KC Sports Club Cup 2018-19 at KC School ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, KCSC Juniors scored a modest total of 122 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Sidharth Bhat top scored with 60 runs, while Akash contributed 20 runs to the total. Pardeep and Neeju took 2 wickets each for Nagrota Cricket Club.
In reply, Nagrota Cricket Club scored the required runs in19.4 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process, thus won the match by 3 wickets. Rahul scored magnificent 50 runs, while Naresh contributed 16 runs to the total. Vikas Lakhotra and Ritik Jyotshi took 2 wickets each for KC Sports Club Juniors. Rahul of Nagrota Cricket Club was adjudged as the man of the match for his superb batting display.
